Lily May: Description. A perennial herbaceous plant with two large elliptical leaves and brush odnobochnoy white fragrant flowers. The flowers are small, drooping with globular-campanulate perianth. Fruit - spherical red berries. Plant height 15-25 cm
Flowering time. May - June.
Habitat. In the forests, often mixed, and in floodplains.
The applied part. Stems and leaves with flowers.
Collection time. May-June.
Lily May: Chemical composition. Cardiac glycosides, saponins konvallarin (irritating the kidneys, intestines), malic and citric acids, traces of essential oil. The plant is poisonous.
Lily May: Action. Diuretic, sedative, analgesic, anti-inflammatory. Alcoholate lily slow heart rate, improves the filling pulse reduces stasis, dyspnea, cyanosis (blueness)
Lily May: Application. With heart disease with harshly. Severe neurological phenomena, of dropsy, asthma, malaria, epilepsy, convulsions, paralysis, headache. Dosing ..
1. Fresh flowers, lily of the valley to put in a half-liter bottle, filling it 3 / 4 volume, pour the wine with alcohol the top. Infuse 2 weeks. Strain and drink 10-15 drops in water 2-3 times a day.
Contraindications. The plant is poisonous. Contraindicated with organic sharp changes of the heart and blood vessels, acute myocarditis, endocarditis, and a pronounced cardiosclerosis.
