Mountaineer serpentine: Description of the perennial herbaceous plant with thick, double-curved (like a snake), dark brown, pink inside rhizome. Stem knotty, nevetvisty, with dry membranous tubules. The flowers are small, pink five petals. Stamens eight, pistil with three columns. Inflorescence solitary, dense, spicate. Fruit-triangular, shiny brown nut.Flowering time. May-June. Habitat. In wet meadows, along rivers and lakes. The applied part. Rhizomes.Collection time. Spring and Fall.Mountaineer serpentine: Chemical composition. Mountaineer serpentine contains tannin, glucose, gallic acid and ascorbic, starch and coloring matter, calcium xalate,protein.Mountaineer serpentine: Action, Strong astringent, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, wound healing. Mountaineer serpentine: Application. With bleeding, acute and chronic enterocolitis, chronic diarrhea, gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers. If stomatitis, inflammation of the gums (rinse), cystitis, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis.Method of application. 2 teaspoons of root in 1 cup boiling water, in a thermos. Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes. before eating.
